This year ERS congress was held in Stockholm 15-19th of September. In Stockholm tradition blends with modernity naturally. Congress itself can be summarized in a similar way – years of experience of participating doctors were accompanied by modern topics discussed during numerable seminars. Therefore it was a pleasure for Medikro to participate in that event as an exhibitor with over 30 years of experience in spirometry and innovative attitude.

Telemedicine receives more and more attention during recent months, it has also been discussed during seminars. This indicates rising need for medical devices with features allowing to communicate via Internet or phone line. Hence we are glad that Medikro’s spirometer not only complies with newest standards but also goes with the spirit of time being able to e.g. communicate with hospital information systems or electronic patient record.

Our stand was visited by European doctors as well as doctors from countries outside Europe: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, India, Iran, Philippines – to name a few. It proves that our spirometry system gains attention of doctors from all over the world. We are also glad that we could communicate with our visitors in different languages: Dutch, English, Finnish, German, Polish, Spanish, Norwegian and Swedish. We hope that it improved mutual understanding.

We would like to thank all doctors visiting our stand during exhibition, participating in our quiz and survey. During the quiz we asked to guess how many disposable SpiroSafe mouthpieces were placed in tube on one of the Medikro’s tables. We received 356 guesses ranging from 75 to 9980.

The congress in Stockholm although successful in many ways is past. We now look forward to next ERS congress to introduce new features being under development for Medikro’s spirometry system. This way we want to serve doctors the newest technology to make their important work easier and cost efficient.
